Cesc Fabregas set for stunning January move to AC Milan as Italian giants bid to exploit contract situation
Cesc Fabregas is a January target for AC Milan.
The Italian giants are circling the Chelsea midfielder in a bid to take advantage of his expiring contract.
Fabregas, 31, has yet to feature in the Premier League under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
He has so far made only one appearance, in the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City .
The Spaniard fought his way into the first team picture under Antonio Conte but his current deal runs out at the end of this season and he will be free to speak to foreign clubs in January.
As things stand he is unlikely to earn a new deal at Chelsea and the club could sell him in the mid-season window to prevent him leaving as a free agent.
New signing Jorginho has started his career at Chelsea well, with N’Golo Kante now in a more advanced role for Sarri’s men.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also waiting in the wings, along with Ross Barkley.
