Germany has been chosen as the host country of the European Football Championship in 2024.

This decision was made at its meeting by the UEFA Executive Committee on Sept. 27. Germany’s competitor was Turkey.

Euro-2024 will be held in 10 German cities: Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Gelsenkirchen. Some 24 national teams will participate in it.

As is known, the next 2020 European championship will be held in 12 cities across Europe on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the first continental championship.
