Transfer news: Man Utd's Martial eyed by Spanish club, Tottenham duo could leave
The French International has struggled to impress United boss Jose Mourinho and that has alerted the Spanish outfit into chancing their arm.
United are reluctant to do a deal as they will be unable to sign a replacement after Premier League clubs decided to close the transfer window early.
The 22-year-old was reportedly fined £180,000 by the club – the equivalent of two weeks’ wages – after going AWOL on United’s pre-season tour of Los Angeles, following the birth of his son.
Mourinho dug out the Frenchman while in LA, saying: “He has the baby and after the baby is born – beautiful baby, full of health, thank God – he should be here and he is not here.”
Meanwhile, Danny Rose could be on his way to French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spurs left-back is sweating on PSG following through with their interest and making a bid for him before the European transfer window closes this week.
The England left-back is keen on a move to the French capital on loan but PSG boss Thomas Tuchel will only move for Rose if the Ligue 1 champions fail with a bid for Atletico Madrid’s Brazilian full-back Filipe Luis.
Tottenham team-mate Moussa Sissoko could also leave the North London club.
Fenerbache sporting director Damien Comolli is keen to return to former club Tottenham to sign French international Moussa Sissoko.
The midfielder has proved to be a £30million flop at Spurs and Comolli wants him to rebuild his career with a switch to Turkey for an initial season-long loan deal.
It’s unlikely that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will want his squad to be depleted, after not signing any players in the summer transfer window.
