VineKin ("we", "our", or "us") operates the VineKin mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. You may also sign in using Google or Apple, in which case we receive your name and email from those providers.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including reading progress, lesson completions, streaks, and preferences. This data is stored in your account to provide a personalized experience.
Device Information: We automatically collect device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and analytics purposes.
Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and diagnostic information to improve app stability. These reports may include device state, stack traces, and the app version.

VineKin uses artificial intelligence services (including Anthropic and OpenAI) to assist in generating devotional reflections and prayers. All AI-generated content is reviewed for theological accuracy before being made available in the App.
What is shared with AI services: Only the scriptural text and theme information needed to generate devotional content is sent to AI providers. No personal user data, account information, or usage history is shared with AI services for content generation.
Soul Friend messages: Messages exchanged through the Soul Friend feature are shared only between paired partners. No message content is sent to AI services. The only personal information shared is what users choose to include in their messages.
Free-tier users may see banner advertisements and optional rewarded video ads. We use Google AdMob to serve these ads. AdMob may collect and use data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Ads are filtered to be family-friendly (G-rated content only). Premium and Family subscribers do not see advertisements.
Your data is stored securely using Firebase services hosted by Google Cloud. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Some data (such as reading preferences) may also be cached locally on your device using encrypted storage.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained for longer periods.
You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile > Settings > Delete Account). Upon deletion, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. You may also request account deletion by contacting us at the email address below.
VineKin is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or use features that require personal information. Parents or guardians who believe their child under 13 has provided personal information should contact us at privacy@vinekin.com, and we will take steps to remove that information. All advertisements shown in the app are filtered for family-friendly content.
