Terms of Service

Welcome to VineKin. By downloading, installing, or using the VineKin mobile application (the "App") or our website (vinekin.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
VineKin provides Bible reading, devotionals, prayer, learning paths, verse memorization, and related faith-based content and tools. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App by automated means
- Share your account credentials with others
2. Accounts
You may create an account using your email address or through a third-party sign-in provider (Google, Apple, or Microsoft). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile > Settings > Delete Account). Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
3. Subscriptions and Purchases
VineKin offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Billing: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled by the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) in accordance with their refund policies.
- Price Changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice.
4. Duo, Small Group, and Family Plans
Duo, Small Group, and Family subscription plans allow you to share premium access with other users. The plan purchaser is responsible for managing shared access. We reserve the right to revoke shared access if a plan is used in violation of these Terms.
5. Content
Bible Text: Scripture text is provided through licensed Bible translations. Use of Bible text is subject to the copyright and licensing terms of the respective publishers.
App Content: Devotionals, learning materials, and other content within the App are the property of VineKin or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without permission.
User Content: Any content you create within the App (such as journal entries, bookmarks, or highlights) remains yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and sync this content solely for the purpose of providing the App's features.
6. Advertisements
Free-tier users may see advertisements provided by Google AdMob. VineKin does not track you. Advertisements are non-personalized — we do not use the device Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or track you across other apps or websites. All advertisements are filtered for family-friendly (G-rated) content. Premium, Duo, Small Group, and Family subscribers do not see advertisements.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is the property of VineKin and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
VineKin is a Bible study and devotional tool. The content provided in the App is for informational and inspirational purposes and should not be considered a substitute for professional counseling, pastoral guidance, or theological advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VineKin and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VineKin from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and within the App, and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
