Delete Your Account

You can delete your VineKin account and all associated personal data at any time. There are two ways to request account deletion.
Option 1: Delete from within the app
- Open the VineKin app on your device.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you are unable to access the app, email us at privacy@vinekin.com from the email address associated with your account and include the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days:
- Account information (email address, display name, sign-in credentials)
- Profile and preferences (denomination, interests, translation, notification settings)
- Reading history, progress, streaks, XP, levels, and achievements
- Verse highlights, bookmarks, and personal annotations
- Journal entries, prayer reflections, and devotional activity
- Lesson completions and daily challenge records
- Push notification tokens
What may be retained
A limited amount of data may be retained after account deletion:
- Anonymized analytics that cannot be tied back to you personally may be retained for product improvement.
- Transaction records for completed purchases and subscriptions may be retained as required by law and by our payment processors (Apple, Google, RevenueCat).
- Records of your deletion request may be retained to demonstrate compliance with privacy regulations.
Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your reading progress, streaks, journal entries, and all other personal data cannot be recovered. Active subscriptions should be cancelled separately through the App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat before deletion.
